Kings & Wood Mallesons

Ruby Datum, the virtual data room solution, was chosen by the Administrators, Andrew Hosking and Sean Bucknall of Quantuma LLP to facilitate and handle the extraction, storage and distribution of millions of documents to multiple purchasers following the collapse of King & Wood Mallesons (KWM).

The Ruby Datum team continues to work onsite with Quantuma LLP to facilitate the seamless transfer of approximately 30 terabytes of information from KWM’s IT systems to multiple law firm purchasers.

Tom Godwin, Head of Client Services at Ruby Datum, commented: ” Our virtual data room platform and our technical support team have facilitated the administration process so as to  ensure the speedy extraction and transfer of data to purchasers and to ensure that the impact on KWM’s clients is minimised as much as possible. This is a significant project and it is our top priority to provide an efficient and secure service to all parties involved.”

Andrew Hosking, a partner at Quantuma and one of the Joint Administrators of KWM commented: “Ruby Datum was the obvious choice to help us through what has been a  challenging and time-pressured period. The Ruby Datum platform has provided us with a secure, intuitive and scalable technological solution to transfer millions of documents quickly and efficiently to buyers so as to ensure the protection of clients following the collapse of KWM. In addition, the Ruby Datum team provided the support and expertise to facilitate  the extraction of data including managing each secure data room.”
